I.love this and it’s bang on! When I stopped drinking I owed about £15k on credit cards, was constantly in my overdraft and when I had a hangover, which was every day, I threw more money at it to help the shame go away. It was bleak and I felt rotten. Being sober meant that I paid my debts off and bought a gorgeous house 3 years later. I was 5 years sober on Friday and it gets better and better.

    Hi Laurie,

I am sorry to hear that you lost Instagram followers as a result of talking about your house…?!

You provide so much support to others, I would think that everybody would be so happy to see you succeeding with your goals…as a direct result of being sober!

I truly hope you don’t feel deflated by this. It could be a jealousy thing? Who knows…

Just keep being authentic and being yourself!

Haters goin to hate! You can’t please everybody.

    Congratulations! Well done!

Hello Laurie. Well done. I’m now five months dry and I do miss it. But I have seen and am seeing what it is doing to my family, so I will keep going. Best of luck.
