I’m Laurie, writer of Girl & Tonic. A twenty something blonde, self acceptance & wellbeing advocate, living life alcohol free.

Norfolk based yoga teacher and student, marketing consultant and (sober) pub bar tender.

Girl & Tonic is my blog. This is my space to write – and is my raw, honest journey towards loving myself more, exploring the world stone-cold sober and improving my wellbeing.

Do you want to:

Get connected with yourself and the world around you?

Work on self acceptance?

Cut down or stop drinking alcohol?

Be more and work through all the shit to find your version of wellbeing?

Girl & Tonic is for you

My version of wellbeing means removing alcohol, reading lots of books, meeting friends (and dates) for tea and doing a lot of yoga. For you it could mean choosing to have a night in and a bath rather than another night out drinking, taking a 30 day meditation challenge, simply pausing to think before you reach for a glass of wine or some chocolate when you’re feeling sad or starting a writing practice first thing in the morning.

Connection & community lights me up. If you’re looking for new ways to treat yourself, more ways to love yourself, the occasional event and a fresh (and clean) perspective on modern city living then you’re in the right place.
